COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT NEGOTIATION

Based on our approach that promotes mutual respect and clarity, DSC'S experienced negotiators have completed nearly 1,200 negotiations and collective agreement renewals in Quebec and elsewhere in Canada.

1. To make sure they have a clear understanding of the client's issues, history, future prospects, specific problems, challenges, competitors, and the entire industrial sector.
2. To understand the mandates, their scope and limits; to clearly establish the jurisdiction of the negotiating committee and focus the energy of the committee members on the main objectives.
3. To clearly identify the roles and responsibilities of each member of the negotiating committee.
4. To be thoroughly familiar with the collective agreement and the main economic indicators that apply as well as the usual comparisons (salaries, benefits, work hours, etc.).
5. To prepare and thoroughly analyze the regulatory conditions and monetary provisions.
6. To establish respectful contact with the employee representatives and behave in a manner that inspires respect.
7. To make sure that the other party clearly understands the employer's issues and objectives.
