With more than 40 years of experience in business and human resource management, André Savard brings solid and diversified expertise to the DSC team.
During his career, he initially worked as a consultant and manager in the public sector and then held several key management positions within major companies such as CIL, Johnson & Johnson and Gaz Métropolitain. His contributions led him to the position of Vice-President of Human Resources.
A consultant since 1989, he first worked as the senior manager for a national firm and then helped establish and develop consulting firms specializing in human resource management as a founder and partner. During these years, he helped many organizations as they went through major changes and carried out various actions that improved performance.
A privileged witness of the work climates in the companies he has assisted, engagement and non-monetary recognition proved to be increasingly important and became his main focus over the past 20 years. With this goal in mind, he has helped several organizations implement a culture of recognition and engagement.
As a result of his research, lectures, articles, experience and insight, he is recognized as an expert in the field and is a much sought-after speaker and coach.
From 2010 to 2020, he offered an online learning tool to assist managers and promote engagement. Using 40 short 10-minute video clips every week, managers dealt with many daily management challenges and developped appropriate positive behaviours. The topics included:
