The DSC associates are experienced negotiators who have drafted hundreds of collective agreements in the agri-food and forestry industries, as well as the retail sales, food market, and hotel sectors and for various professional orders. Our professions promote harmonious relationships between management, employees and unions. They encourage clear, honest and direct contacts.
The following principles and values guide our professionals in their role as representatives at negotiating tables:
- To make sure they have a clear understanding of the client's issues, its history, future prospects, specific problems, challenges, competitors, and the entire industrial sector.
- To understand the mandates, their scope, their limits; to clearly establish the jurisdiction of the negotiating committee and focus the energy of the committee members on the principal objectives to be attained.
- To clearly identify the roles and responsibilities of each member of the negotiating committee.
- To be thoroughly familiar with the collective agreement and the principal economic indicators that apply as well as the usual comparisons (salaries, benefits, work hours, etc.).
- To establish respectful contact with the employee representatives and behave in a manner that inspires respect.
- To make sure that the other party understands the employer's issues and objectives clearly.
